I had been using a 10 year old Camelbak Alpine Explorer backpack, but wanted a pack that was more form fitting when I went out mountain biking. The evoc Trail Pro 16 Protector Backpack fits my needs. I am able to ride all day and forget that I have the pack on. The shoulder straps have enough cushion so the straps don't dig into my shoulders. The waist belt is both wide enough as well have enough cushion so it allows the pack to sit right on my hips to help defect the weight. I am able to use a 3L bladder giving me enough water for my ride. When going through single tracks with trees and bushes right at the edge of the trail there are plenty of branches and limbs that can catch on your pack if you're not paying attention, the evoc Trail Pro 16 Protector Backpack hugs my back so well I have yet to catch any branches or limbs. The are two pockets (which holds more than you'd think) on the hip belt that are zippered at the perfect angle to reach back while you're riding to get something out without having to stop. If I had to have one con for this backpack is that I wish I had gotten the 26L instead of the 16L. The extra 10L would make this an all purpose backpack for other uses besides mountain biking. Yes, the cost of this pack is a lot more than many of the other packs, but like they say...you get what you pay for. If you want a backpack that you can count on this backpack deserves your attention for a closer look.
