I’m very subjective about the type of gem clips I use: I want vinyl-coated clips in a variety of colors: vinyl because they don’t rust, and colors because they show up on white paper better than white clips. I had previously ordered another brand of the standard-size gem clips from Amazon and found them to be very poor quality. The first ones were packaged in a clear plastic rectangular box with only one color to a compartment in the box; this is what I prefer, but the clips were so thin I couldn’t use them.These clips came in a round, clear, plastic box, with all colors, including metallic colors, in the box with no separate compartments for each color. Because they were much sturdier than the first ones, and the price was good, I chose to keep them and sort them as I needed to use them.I like the multiple different colors.I ordered the third variation... it comes with 9 colors.Variation two says it is 11 colors.Variation one is 20 colors.If I could do it again, I would pick number one.Other than that and the not so great smell when you open the container... it is exactly as pictured. Came in a brown box and then the solid plastic container for storage.Just wanted something "not ordinary." Colors are great.
