Thrilook the best holding papers also !!Well given the obvious I use these to keep my paperqorWhen I worked in an office, we had Gem Clips that were very strong and papers never fell apart ! The Clips now offered in almost all stores are very thin metal with no actual holding power but very flimsy. I ordered these and they are as good as the old Gem Clips ! They clip paper together. And as mentioned in the description, they have a bit of a gold tone to them. I don't think that the paper cares. I did not actually count them or measure them against the National Institute of Paper Clip standards for a #2 size, so I can not comment on either of those points. They do, however, appear to be smooth, so there is some truth in paper clip advertising. They can also be linked together to make the infamous "paper clip chain" and when connected to enough 9volt batteries the chain can be used to arc-cut through an aluminum soda can. This capability is not listed in the manufacturer's description but is a bonus above and beyond what you might normally expect, so maybe they should have been rated six stars. They also can be used as ammo in a mini catapult; seven stars.
